FCT police rescue 12-year-old girl being defiled inside a parked car.

According to the statement by the FCT Police Command (via Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh), operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit were on routine patrol around Airport Bridge Taxi Park in Abuja on October 2, 2026. They noticed a fully tinted navy blue Volkswagen vehicle (registration number KMC567LQ) parked with its windows wound up. The car was shaking, which raised suspicion of foul play.

Officers approached and opened the vehicle, where they found a man identified as Zayyanu Halilu (also spelled Zazzayanu in some reports) allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The suspect was immediately arrested and the girl was rescued.

Preliminary investigations indicated by the police revealed that the suspect had repeatedly lured and abused the underage victim in the same vehicle at that same location , threatening to “deal with her” if she told anyone about it .

A medical examination was conducted and it revealed that the victim is approximately three months pregnant as a result of the sexual abuse.

The victim is receiving medical care and assessment. The suspect remains in police custody and will be charged to court once investigations is concluded.

The police appealed to the general public to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly via the Command’s emergency lines: 08032003913 or 08028940883.
