APC Praised Cardinal Onaiyekan Under Jonathan, Now Criticizes Him Under Tinubu

Veteran broadcaster Rufai Oseni has criticized what he described as inconsistent reactions from members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) toward Cardinal John Onaiyekan, arguing that the party's stance appears to have changed depending on who occupies the presidency.

In a statement that has circulated widely online, Oseni said the APC applauded Cardinal Onaiyekan when he criticized the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan but has become critical of the cleric now that he has expressed concerns about the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“APC praised Cardinal Onaiyekan when he spoke against Goodluck Jonathan but now attacks him because he is speaking against President Tinubu.”
